Rita Lonergan
(née Hanley)
It is with great sadness that the Lonergan family announce the death of their dear mother Rita, who passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family in the wonderful care of the staff at Abbeylands Nursing Home, Kildorrery on June 14th 2025.
Predeceased by her husband Johnny, son Sean, brother Tom and sister Mary. Cherished mother of sons, Billy and Declan and daughter Evonne. Much loved mother-in-law of Pauline, Anita and Jim. Adoring grand-mother of Sharon, Chloe, Aoife, Darcy, Misha, Alfie, Harry and Lara and great-grand-mother of Alex and Robyn. Sadly missed by her sisters Phil, Eileen and Josie, brothers Mick, Kevin and Liam, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours, extended family and many friends.
Reposing at Ryans Funeral Home, Ballylanders V35 A3F4 this Monday evening June 16th from 6pm to 8pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday June 17th in St. Molaga's Church, Sraharla, Knockanevin V35 YV79 at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Brigown New Cemetery, Mitchelstown.
